Pro/Tran® by Reliance Controls

Easy to install and operate, connects portable generator to residential load center.  Allows manual transfer of individual loads to prevent overloading generator.   Each individual circuit can be transferred separately and only as needed.   Now required by Article 702.6 of the 2002 National Electric Code to prevent inadvertent backfeeding of electric power from generator into utility system which can be a safety hazard.

Each circuit provided with non-defeatable (break-before-make) double throw switch protected with a resettable circuit breaker.  Dual watt meters provided for balancing generator load.  The 3/4 x 18 inch flexible conduit is pre-wired for easy connection to existing residential load center panel.  Installs in less than an hour, without pulling the electric meter or installing a sub-panel.  Suitable only for circuits protected with up to 20 amp breakers or fuses.

 

30A Power Inlet Box

For installations where the building electrical panel is located indoors and generator is located outdoors.  Eliminates need for open window or door for generator cord.  Raintight NEMA 3R box with four combination 1/2" and 3/4" knockouts: one each side, bottom and back.  Twist lock male L1430P power inlet receptacle for cable connection to generator, 7500 watt maximum.  UL listed and CSA certified.

Note that this box is suitable for wet locations when the cover is closed and cable is NOT plugged in.  This is usually not a problem since portable generators should not be operated outside in bad weather anyway.

 

30A Generator Portable Power Cord

30 amp, 125/250 Volts, super capacity 10 Gauge 4 conductor wire, 10 feet, type SJ00W water resistant 90C insulation.  For connecting portable generator to inlet boxe.  NEMA twist lock L1430 plug and connector preinstalled on each end of cable.  Colors may vary from illustration.  UL listed and CSA certified.

 

Replacement 20A Male Plug

NEMA type L1420P male plug, 20 amp, 3 pole, 4 conductor.  Twist lock design with nylon housing resistant to many chemicals.   Nylon cord clamp with #10 solid brass terminal clamps and screws for superior wire holding and excellent conductivity.  Color may vary from that shown.  UL listed.  This extra plug is included to replace the 30A plug on the cordset above when your generator has the lower capacity 20A receptacle.

 

Twist-on Wire Connectors

Wire connectors are also included for making the connections to the transfer switch.
