600W Wind Generator Ampair 600 * Ampair 600-24 The brochure for the Ampair 600 can be downloaded
here. The battery charge versions are available from Ampair distributors or direct from Ampair. The grid connected version is only available in some countries and from some
authorized Ampair distributor / installers. Ampair 600 for battery charging The Ampair 600-24 and Ampair 600-48 are designed for charging high capacity DC battery banks, typically 800Ah or more. The correct wind turbine and regulator must be purchased at the outset - either the 24V version or the 48V version - as it is not possible to change the voltage at a later date. The wind turbine must be installed in conjunction with the Ampair 600 regulator which includes the regulator itself plus the dump load; the fuses; the rectifier; the stop switch; and heatsinks. Loads can be either 24V or 48V DC equipment or a stand alone sine wave inverter can be used to power 115V or 230V equipment.Ampair 600 charging 24V battery systems in New Mexico Ampair 600 for grid connection (not
currently available in the USA) The Ampair 600-230 is designed for connecting to 230V 50Hz grid systems operated by public utilities. It is ordinarily connected on the client's side of the electrical utility supply meter and is ideally connected into the consumer unit (fuse board). Electricity generated by the wind turbine is then used in preference to electricity supplied the public utility. If more electricity is required by the client then extra supply comes in from the utility, and if more is generated than is consumed on site then the surplus is exported to the utility. The Ampair 600-230 must be installed in conjunction with the Ampair interconnect set which includes a G83 sine wave
inverter, stop switch, overloads, power conditioning, and isolation. Mounting options The Ampair 600 system includes a range of mounting options for land and marine use. The only marine mount that we recommend is the stern mount kit co-developed by Ampair and Scanstrut. On land the same stern mount can be used and we also offer a wide range of other
mountings: Technical Specifications Power output Click the chart below for the 24Vdc and 48Vdc output

must be evaluated carefully when laying out system. Click here for our simple
voltage drop calculator.
Maintenance and Recommended Spare Parts The Ampair 300 is designed so that users can strip it down
in the field and replace those components that wear out over time or that become damaged in accidents. In remote locations or on long sailing voyages accidental damage is always a possibility. We suggest that spare wind turbine blades be
carried.
Recommended short-term and long-term spare parts are listed below. For additional details click the catalog

Land/Marine Version
The Ampair 600 is available in three versions. The battery charge version is available for charging 24V or 48V battery banks, and the grid-connected version is available for connection to 230V
50Hz electrical networks (European).
* Ampair 600-48
* Ampair 600-230
* TUM: steel unguyed mast with hinge and winch to allow turbine to tilt-up for easy access:
sets hub 8m (26') height above ground.
* WPM: kit to attach turbine to top of wooden unguyed electric pole;
* GM-HD: Guyed steel masts from 12m (39') hub height, heavy duty.
* NPRM: Non penetrating roof mount suitable for load bearing flat roofs; sets hub 5m
(16') above roof.
* Various mounts suitable for fixing on to vertical structures:
o BWM: brick wall mount for suitable brick, block, masonry, and concrete;
o SFM: steel frame mount for standard orientation beams;
o SFM-R: for steel beams at 90 degrees to normal.

* Charging values decrease only slightly with rising battery voltage.
* For Amp Hours per day, multiply charging current at average location wind speed by 24.
* For Amp Hours per week multiply by 168.
* For Watt Hours multiply Amps by 12.5V by hours.
* Wind speed: 1 Knot = 0.5m/sec, 1 Knot = 1.152 mph
* This generator can charge a battery simultaneously with other sources such as solar panels and
an engine driven alternator.
