Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your credit card bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any portion of this $50.00, NoOutage.com LLC will cover the liability for you up to the full $50.00. This guarantee is effective only if the unauthorized use of your card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made at NoOutage.com while using our secure shopping cart system and you are a USA customer.

All three major credit cards now have a zero-liability policy so it is unlikely they would hold you liable for this $50.00.

Our shopping cart system uses secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption technology that makes it nearly impossible for someone to intercept and decrypt your credit card information while it travels through the internet. (Click here for more on security).

Your credit card information is only briefly stored online on a secure server after you submit your order. When your order is processed it is no longer stored on any of our systems connected to the internet. Therefore, we have no large accessible database of customer credit card numbers that internet hackers can go after.

We believe it is more likely that your credit card information could be stolen during other more common transactions such as: (a) when a waiter takes your card to pay a restaurant bill, (b) when someone hears you placing a phone order with your card, (c) stealing card information while it is in the mail.

To further reduce the chance of fraudulent use of credit cards we always compare the address submitted with each order with that on file with the credit card processor.

We do not accept orders being paid by credit cards from countries with higher than average rates of fraud.
