20A Power Inlet Box
  PB version is front entry powder coated steel
PBN version is bottom entry ABS plastic

For installations where the building electrical panel is located indoors and generator is located outdoors.  Eliminates need for open window or door for generator cord.

The PB version is powder coated steel raintight NEMA 3R construction with four combination 1/2" and 3/4" knockouts: one each side, bottom and back.  Inlet plug is on front of box for easy cable connection.  Twist lock male L1420P power inlet receptacle for cable connection to generator, 5000 watt maximum.  Note that this box is suitable for wet locations when the cover is closed and cable is NOT plugged in.  This is usually not a problem since portable generators should not be operated outside in bad weather anyway.  UL listed and CSA certified.  Exclusive 24 month warranty.  Made in USA  

The PBN version is non-metal ABS plastic raintight NEMA 3R construction with three 3/4" knockouts: one each side and back.  Inlet plug is on bottom of box.  Twist lock male L1420P power inlet receptacle for cable connection to generator, 5000 watt maximum.  Note that this box is suitable for wet locations with or without cable plugged in.  UL listed and CSA certified.  Exclusive 24 month warranty.

WARNING: Never install this inlet box without connecting it to a transfer switch.  If this product is not used with a transfer switch, it is not allowed by the National Electrical Code to supply power from a portable generator to a premises wiring system because of safety concerns.  These concerns include the dangers of back feeding into the utility grid and possible damage when utility power is restored.  Click here for more about safety.
